Eltz Castle: the epitome of a fairytale castle
With its unique architecture, perfect preservation and picturesque location, Eltz Castle is the epitome of a German knight's castle for many visitors from all over the world. The visit of the castle is a journey through time through eight centuries of history, which is reflected in the architecture of the rooms and their furnishings.
The castle can be reached directly from the hotel in 4 minutes (by car) or with a walk in 30 minutes or on a circular hiking trail (see: Traumpfad Eltzer Burgpanorama).

From 1 April to 1 November
Visit and guided tour daily from 9:30 to 17:30, also in English, French and Dutch by appointment. The castle tour starts every 10-15 minutes.
It is the epitome of a fairytale castle: Eltz Castle. Of course, the appearance of the dream castle in the valley of the Elz has to be worked for. The climb is steep, with many views and the right lookout. Over the heights, through undulating fields with seemingly unlimited views, you gradually dive back into the Elztal.

The premium hiking trail around Eltz Castle was chosen by the German hiking magazine from 13800 votes to be Germany's most beautiful hiking trail in 2013.
We can only invite you to hike along this very special path and as a reward you will find one of our El(z)sässer Flammkuchen, an enjoyable Moselle wine and a relaxing bed waiting for you in the Landhaus in front of Eltz Castle.
It is cool in the valley, where the Elz and the hiking trail lead from loop to loop to the point where the castle rises like a mirage of valley and rock. Of course you will visit the former Ganerbenburg, which was never destroyed. The following path leads sometimes above, sometimes directly along the Elzbach.
