Maifelder cycle paths
A true biking experience is offered by the more than 100 km extended cycle path on a former railway line, with its sculpture path and attractive tourist facilities. This is a paradisiacally easy pleasure even for less trained cyclists. The well-developed routes, with gentle gradients and ascents, get the body going. Together with easily accessible farm roads, the Maifeld has a network of around 100 kilometres. This car-free route between the towns of Münstermaifeld, Polch, Ochtendung and Mayen leads over the 40 m high natural stone viaduct Nettetal and through two illuminated tunnels of 250 and 500 metres. Along the cycle path on the railway line, a sculpture path has been created in recent years, which presents the cyclist with art to touch as he passes by.
Inns, playgrounds and green areas along the way invite visitors to stop and rest.

Bicycle event: Happy Mosel
The highlight of the year for cyclists and inline skaters. A car-free day on approx. 140 km along the Moselle wine route from Cochem to Schweich (shortly before Trier).

Castle bus with bicycle trailer
The leisure bus runs from Treis-Karden to the castles Pyrmont and Eltz via Münstermaifeld to Hatzenport on all weekends and holidays from May to October.
