Dauner Game and Adventure Park (Eifel) (45 km)
A 200 ha large game and adventure park, on an 8 km long road through the middle of the forest you can observe native game species as well as exotic animals such as llamas, monkeys and more. In the bird of prey station, the falconer presents the different flight behaviour and the special abilities of the individual birds of prey.
There is also a lot of fun on the adventure playground, the farm of the Minitiere and in the Natureum, a natural history museum suitable for children. A rapid descent on the 800 m long summer toboggan run is also tempting.
Klotten Game and Leisure Park (Moselle) (18 km)
Many exotic and native wildlife species live in spacious outdoor enclosures in the midst of an unspoilt forest landscape. Brown bears and wolves, ibex and roe deer, but also animal species with which children can get in close contact. Numerous possibilities for play and fun are available: cable car, Nautic-Jet and many play attractions inspire big and small children.

The Neuwied Zoo welcomes wild animals from faraway lands and native fauna in spacious outdoor enclosures. It accommodates about 1200 animals in about 150 different species. The zoo has a lot to offer for children: Tree and nature adventure trail, nature quiz, zoo school, organised holiday rallye and children's birthday programme. A special attraction is the only cheetah prey simulator in Germany. The feeding of these racy cats of prey is always a fascinating spectacle.

Garden of the Schmetterline Castle Sayn in Bendorf (/34 km)
Altlas spinner from China, blue morpho from Brazil or the tiger swallowtail. If you're wondering who or what that is - quite simply - butterflies! In the butterfly garden, the colorful butterflies fly from far away between the visitors from one flower to another.
